The Fluctuator

the man of steel stands
closer to the cotton field
when life is hard
to feel the soft & susceptible…

the young girl of tender heart
stands nearer the construction site
as she takes in the pounding with wonder
also sympathetic plight

i don’t know the secret language
and i don’t see how it might
help me get through the night.
